EXILE 60+ explores how Ukrainian women aged 60 and over make sense of war, forced migration, and aging through autobiographical narratives. Based on interviews conducted in Ukrainian, Russian, and surzhyk, the project examines the relationships between biography, language, identity, and belonging in exile.
By focusing on a group that remains largely overlooked in migration research, the project contributes to a better understanding of displacement, later life, and the social consequences of war.
